Our Story

The Beginning

A long, long time ago in the 1950's and 1960's the first generation of our pump family, Eugene Lawrence 'Larry" Gargan was a partner in a company called "Arizona, Engine and Pump" "AEP" for short . At some point that partnership ended and Larry began a company on his own in California. Two of his sons continued on the Family Business. After many years, the brothers figured out they made better brothers than partners. The oldest Brother, Bill Gargan began his own company in Visalia, Ca. It has since grown to provide services to the entire state of California and beyond, through a family of companies in multiple cities.

Today

Here we are today, serving the Arizona community as a general engineering contractor, specializing in water systems and well services. Our trade name Arizona, Engineering and Pump, AEP, is an ode to the origins of this company. We still have one of the original pump rigs in use today, it is currently on a new truck of course!. The Rig has been modified and most of our fleet has been updated, our love of water, Agriculture and our desire to help others remains the same.

The Business continues to grow due to the exceptional expertise recognized by its ever growing customer relationships. Our goal is to remain a partner with you by providing professionalism like no other.
